Trunk or Treat
We did more getting out and enjoying the weather this weekend. We visited Paulette and Vaden at their communities Trunk or Treat. The kids had a really good time. We had Superman, Superbaby, a fairy and Vaden was some kind of scary dude with an axe. Though the first picture looks disturbing, Austin did ask him to do it. BOYS!
Thanks Paulette- my camera was in the car! |
Only picture I could get with them semi looking at the camera |
So excited to be out of the stroller and dancing |
So sweet- my two Supermen |
Cookies and Pumpkins
We have really been enjoying fall and all that brings. The cooler weather is nice and the kids love making Halloween cookies and picking/painting pumpkins. We finally got around to working on the pumpkins we got a couple weeks ago and Austin brought another home from his field trip at school. We found that Dylan prefers eating cookie dough over the cookies but it ended up making him sick! All in all, everyone had a great time!

Open House
Jordan and Austin had Open House at school this week and enjoyed showing me around. Jordan is doing really well and brought home A's and high B's on her progress report. I will have the normal conference with her teacher on November 4th so I will get even more info on how she is doing. Austin is doing well for the most part but has had some yellow and red days. Mostly it is for talking. We remember having the same issue with Jordan when she was in Kindergarten. It seems to take a while to settle in. Dylan had his 2nd follow up with the ENT and he no longer has fluid in his ears. We are extremely happy that we won't have to have his tube replaced. He is putting more words together lately, "Mama there", "Whoa Daddy", things like that. He is also going through a phase where he likes to have mom and dad in sight or he has a melt down. This has made even going to the bathroom with the door shut challenging but he is such a sweet little guy most of the time.

1 Year Ago- Pumpkin Patch
Austin is feeling much better now so we decided to get everyone out of the house. We went to the pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins...I also got pumpkin butter for the first time.. excited about that for tomorrow's breakfast. Anyway, the kids had a good time and I got some ok pictures. I decided to post a couple from last year so you can see how they have changed. Dylan was definitely more mobile this year and harder to keep still for any pictures. . that boy is fast!
This was right before the baby fell out of wagon |
Austin was the hardest to keep stilll a year ago |
Dylan was so easy to just plop anywhere year ago |

We made it one month
Austin made it one month in school before he got sick. He didn't eat very well last night when we got home. We had to go out and do a "fall walk" for homework. It is kindergarten ; ). We had not walked very far before he told me he was going to throw up. Sure enough he did .. and then he did 4 more times until 10pm last night. It seemed like every time anything water/food hit his stomach, it was coming up. This morning he said he felt better but was still laying down .. that is highly unusual for him so I know he isn't 100%. Dan is going to stay home with him today. No fever or any other symptoms, just sick on his stomach. We are hoping no one else gets it and he is fine after today. Funny thing was I asked him what he would tell his teacher about his fall walk and he said "that I got sick"... maybe we will try the fall walk again when he is feeling better. I talked to his teacher today and she said there was a lot of stuff going around.

Great Weekend!
We were fortunate to have Nana and Papaw visit this weekend. The kids had a great time at the park on Saturday. Dylan was a little grouchy and had to have a late nap but that is to be expected. The kids were also thrilled to go to Zaxbys for lunch before they had to go home!
Dan and I went out Saturday night to help celebrate a good friends birthday. It was nice to meet up with other adults and not worry about the kids. It is very much something we need to do more often but it is hard with 3 of them and trying to work out babysitter schedules.
The kids are doing well this week. Austin brought in homework for the first time yesterday. It is basically reading every night and doing a little letter practicing. It was insane at the house last night trying to get used to a new routine. The dog even seemed excited and out of it. ; ) Hoping for a better night tonight. I have to work until 5pm and then I am going by McDonalds to get dinner since it is McDonalds night for the school to get money.
We are hoping to go to the pumpkin patch this weekend. The weather is beautiful! No rain the forecast for over 7 days and not supposed to get out of the 70's. We love fall!
